(photo: Ryan Wise)Lexington, OH – A full wet qualifying session at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for round seven of the 2013 F1600 Formula F Championship Series saw pole go to Jake Eidson in the No. 10 Spectrum/Honda for Cape Motorsports with Wayne Taylor Racing. The 18-year-old set himself apart from the field at Lime Rock in the rain in May, winning two wet races. Aaron Telitz and Adrian Starrantino were second and third, matching the current Championship order.

IndyCar driver Tristan Vautier and Sam Chastain rounded out the top five.

The top five team order was: Cape Motorsports, WISKO Racing, Bryan Herta Autosport, Quantum Racing Services and Bryan Herta Autosport. While Eidson is in a Spectrum chassis, Vautier is in a Van Diemen and the other three are Mygales. All are Honda-powered.

A slippery Mid-Ohio dealt drivers a challenge, with both Austin McCusker and Ayla Agren losing two grid positions. McCusker brought out a session stoppage with an incident while Agren missed the black flag stopping the session. Mike Scanlan furthermore lost his two fast laps for stopping a practice session yesterday.

Jim Goughary continued his quick form, qualifying six ahead of Steve Bamford, Wes Allen, Paul Alspach and Agren, despite her two-grid position penalty.

The Saturday Mid-Ohio schedule continues with a race at 12:15pm. Sunday features a similar schedule with 8:00am qualifying and a 12:15pm race start.
